21st Century Philosophy of Science

A great deal of progress has been made in science, yet obscurantism persists. This may be in due to a large part due to unnatural gaps in scientific endeavours, absence if transdisciplinary pursuits and researchers think in silos, and the pursuit of rigour and precision in science. There is an unnatural gap between the natural sciences and the social sciences. Cross-cultural gaps also persist, and cross-cultural research design in mostly absent. Careerism along with career rivalries abound in science, and there is no commitment on the part of scientists to science, society, and the education system. People-focused science is largely absent, and science communication is mostly poor. We need people focused and people-centric science and not scientism. Bertrand Russell, E.F. Schumacher, Karl Popper and others have pointed out to the follies of scientism, but their warnings have gone mostly unheeded. Our canons for the philosophy of sound science can be used not only for social sciences, but for all other fields of science as applicable. Our ten canons are as follows, and these would indeed be logical and self-explanatory to those who have read our previous papers and publications. Indeed, they would bring out the essence of our philosophy; the philosophy of our globalization of science mission. They may even be seen as a summation of our work.
